More Yesteryear

I don’t remember the toilet but I knew people who kept their meat in a safe away from the flies. We had a cellar in Yorkshire where we could keep food cool. The agricultural display was/is a true representation of rural life in East Anglia.

I remember that sort of toilet. We used one in 1961 when we stayed near Helston in Cornwall.

I lived in a farm workers cottage and had a toilet similar to this until I was 9. A tin bath was used as we didn’t have a bathroom. I have nothing but good memories of my childhood. How things have changed.
