Salvation

Oh that sleep would save me from this state
In which I toss and turn and lie awake
The smoothest sheet is scratchy, heavy, hot
The softest pillow twists into a knot
My wriggling mind refuses to alight
On any thought save will I rest tonight
How I’d rejoice should slumber round me creep!
But then again, I would be asleep
the poem is so true — good canine expression photo

That sounds like my Wife. Her mind is always going. Me, I am out almost as soon as I hit the pillow.

Lucy looks like she is about to devoured by a giant triffid. Enjoyed your musings... as usual.
