smoke attempt 1

for get-pushed challenge (last week) from Frogger @tdaug80 to try smoke photography. The main issue I had when trying to follow the instructions provided with challenge was that my flash illuminated the backdrop too much, though I tried to point it at the ceiling.
Guess this can count for abstract august as well.

@tdaug80 This was pretty fun. These are actually colorized because when I increased contrast enough to see what was to be seen, there was a lot of grainy color in the background.

I like the scrolls in this one. My smoke images were the first time that I tried. I found it was best to have a strong light source behind and to the side of the smoke. An external flash would probably work well. I don't have one of those, but I do have an LED panel light that worked well.
