On the run by francoise

On the run

who knows what lurked in those woods? Actually, she was just running for the joy of cold. For one night stand challenge: action

I'm thinking that part of the challenge with the one night stand is actually posting the picture, no matter how you can imagine its improvement. Yesterday: no wildlife. Today: hawk in tree bathed in the setting sun and four deer crossing road right in front of me, but I didn't have my camera out and ready like yesterday. So it goes.
Great action capture

I have decided to look at it not as an opportunity lost when I don't get a shot or don't have my camera. Rather I like to think of it as an opportunity saved for another time. Dog looks happy.

Strong action shot and perfect for ONS. In Year 1, I also tried to be faithful about the shot on the day but I've found in Year 2, I'm a lot more relaxed about it and am just having fun. Year 1 was so good for the discipline, though!

Love this! You really get a sense of her direction with the break in the trees to the left. Nice job.

Letting go of some energy

There is definitely a lot of joy in this shot! I've never rearranged the ONS days, but on the monthly lists I've swapped things around when necessary. But I must admit a couple of my shots this week were definitely "stretched" to make them fit ONS and the black and white themes. I just don't worry about so much anymore. It's not like there are 365 police who'll remove my camera when I miss the mark!
