This is the same little pool as this one from a couple days ago: http://365project.org/francoise/365/2015-01-05 , but after the snow. Inspired by Rick Schies' comment "I bet this morning it looks altogether different" on another picture, I revisited the same place, though a couple hours later in the day so the sun was higher.
It's fun to compare before and after snow. Yes, there is a bit of snow here. Last year the snow reached to the seat of the bench so this photo was to document the now. Who knows how much we will get this year?
Indeed, there is quite a difference between the two - in this particular instance I prefer the scene without snow. It's a 'woody' cameo image and the snow blankets out the little details that make the scene what it is. Just my personal take...
@vignouse I agree; I wouldn't have posted this one if I hadn't been trying to duplicate the other, although after posting it I figured out a way to get it darker without making it more saturated. It's a better picture. The forest has SO much orange, even in the snow.
