I didn't really have to be asked twice on this one as it seemed I was going back happily to an old love ... and that was the end of the april words of the day too, though I certainly did enjoy having a specific daily assignment for the first three weeks of the month.
Just saw these on the get-pushed thread. Amazing capture of an amazing plant. Very well done to get so close. Do you know, if these are these buds of parasitic Pterospora (woodland pinedrops)? Would love to see the full grown plant. If you go close and personal again sometimes. ;-) Huge fav.
@mona65 No, it's not that. But it is parasitic. This pretty much is the full grown plant, although the buds separate a bit from the main plant. It's Conopholis americana, but we usually call it bear corn.
