I've been trying to do both of these challenges, and think maybe I'm trying too hard, this photo is so simple and (sorry for my limited ability to say something more, lol) is great for both challenges tagged for.
Hello, Francoise
I have been cruising your project and noticed that you, like myself, you tend to take shots as they become available and have few, if any, still lifes. So, I am going to give you a challenge given to me by Jacqui Jay back in June which really helped me take control of all aspects of my photography. So here is her challenge to me, word for word:
I think you are a 'recording' type photographer, reacting to your surroundings. So, for the challenge, I want you to be pro-active. I want you to bring some cut flowers into your home, set up a table near a window with the light falling sideways onto the flowers and whatever receptacle you have put them in. Build your still life with a few more objects that are sympathetic to the flowers and take your photograph by natural light with as wide open an aperture as you can manage.
Looking forward to seeing your picture!
Have fun, and I hope you enjoy this challenge. You can make more than one still life if you feel up to it.
