Spider Feasting by francoise

Spider Feasting

This little gal (on the right) has been allowed to set up housekeeping inside the kitchen window because she has quite an appetite for stink bugs (such as the one on the left). She (or he?) has about quadrupled in size since she began dining in the kitchen; when she was teeny, the sight of her feasting on a gigantic stink bug was quite startling. There are about 8 carcasses on the sill below her web ... I guess I could clean them up, but then I'd probably lose count of her endeavors. Not every visitor thinks we should be cohabiting companionably with a spider. Oh well.
I LOVE that you are accommodating her/him. We have been plagued by stink bugs this year so I say more power to anything that eliminates them. Wonderful detail Francoise

She would a keeper in my opinion. Marvelous detail.

Sometimes it's worth it to let them live- especially during mosquito season.

Yikes, that looks creepy, but the detail is great.

Laughing as I read your narrative -- I'm wondering if you'd be this tolerant if it weren't for your photography plans!
