It's only one bird. I couldn't decide which picture I liked the best, so put them together into one... I think he was sitting up on the roof hoping that the eaters in the little cafe below would hurry up and get out of the way so he could get back to scrounging for food bits. He cawed mightily and that was the only thing I could imagine he might be saying. This was also from the visitor's center in Monticello.
I think I'm supposed to write about shamrocks today, so I'll give it a brief go since I'm in catch-up mode. You know, get back on the horse when you fall off and all that? Why not? That's what shamrocks seem to do. I've had them live for years and then die due to neglect or due to boys rough-housing too close to their table. Keep the little root things in a pot, give them some dirt and some water and ... lo and behold ... back to life they come. The same can happen with resolutions and 365 projects. Why give up on them just because you missed a day? That was only the appearance of death, not reality. You can go out for a nice long walk with the dog! You can sit at your computer and write about the word of the day!
