Fuzzy, not fluffy by francoise

Fuzzy, not fluffy

I was out looking for fluffy and for some reason thought this emergent plant might work. But when I pulled up the picture, "fluffy" did not at all describe what I was seeing. However, "fluffy" does describe the movie we went to see: Kong Skull Island. Pure fluff! I went because I was asked to go to provide company. I would rather have stayed home, but since I was going, had made up my mind to thoroughly enjoy it. And how can you not enjoy a movie about a giant pussy cat of a monster (bigger than any King Kong you might have imagined before) who rushes to rescue the hapless humans from the other monsters they have roused from slumber? Well, although I did look away when drooly, gooey parts happened, I did enjoy it. Joe and Terry definitely enjoyed the fact that I startled almost out of my seat on a regular basis too. Oh well, I don't mind being part of the show. Were our lives enriched by the spectacle? Is my life enriched by the endless fantasies I read? When my mother was sick, I read and re-read Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time incessantly, all ten books (there are more now). She asked me that very question: "do those books add anything to your life?" At the time this prompted an immediate adolescent response that it was pure escapism and that was that. But the question still pursues me. When told the story, my reader friends rushed to assure me that reading long sagas is definitely worthwhile, but I can never quite seem to remember the reasons they give, however convincing at the time. I keep reading escapist fantasies though.
I am quite enjoying your journey through March and how you manage to keep the March words going.
Your commentaries are wonderful!

I'm with you there on reading and re-reading escapist fantasies. Nothing wrong with that even if I can't answer your mother's question either. I actually quit like this fluffiness.

I'm your get pushed partner this week - how about making a photo of your latest reading material - especially if it illustrates something magical or fantastical.

An interesting picture that is quasi fluffy. Good of you to go to a movie you had little interest in for the sake of others too
