Motion

For a previous week's get pushed challenge from Jay Butterfield to photograph motion or speed. This was harder than I thought it would be -- to get a recognizable car and, even more important not to shake the camera. It seemed as though because I was photographing something in motion, I was just unconsciously compelled to move the camera. ugh.
@jaybutterfield I finally got around to considering your challenge. I thought that taking pictures of cars speeding down the road was perhaps a cop-out, but it proved to be surprisingly challenging to get the settings correct and to hold the camera steady!

This is really good because with a set shot it is easy to lose the moving car if the exposure is too long. Looks like you got it right on. Congratulations. (PS I have struggled with holding steady and thus have invested in a good tripod!)

Challenge well met I would say.

@jaybutterfield Yes, I think using the tripod would have helped. Given the light etc, I should have been able to hold it steady. I really think it was the psychological distraction of the moving objects!
