I have a fair number of drums, all treasures with their different uses of course. This snare isn’t quite as much of a treasure as my favourite congas, it’s a budget version, but useful for practicing on. I need to spend more time on double stroke rolls. They’re needed for Timbale fills in Salsa (think Tito Puente and Shelia E) and a whole host of other things. A few more hundred hours required. Today should be the start of Carnival in Rio, New Orleans etc. Not happening except for online of course but happy Carnival anyway!
Took about 25 goes to get this shot. Sticks move very fast and can head out of frame very easily…
