Winter grasses by fueast

Winter grasses

As the tones suggest, sunny but cold. Lovely. Have made an interesting discovery about lockdown weekend walking for the time being – that golf courses are where it’s at. No one is allowed to play golf at the moment and they are proving wide open green spaces for walking your dog without the hoards of people on the park footpaths. Perfect. So, Headingley course today and Sandmoor tomorrow. Plenty of room for Bessie to gallop. Who knew Leeds had so many golf courses?? Hopefully when the golfers are allowed back the rest of us will be allowed to get out to the hills.
so beautiful

That’s very pretty. Nobody chasing you off for taking a dog? I thought golf courses were a funny about anything other than slacks and polo shirts....

@judithg nope. Only people with dogs there.

@judithg of course I'm enjoying it because it feels a bit trespassy

You are going to make me revisit Leeds. Got my masters from Leeds uni. That's years ago now.

Beautiful! What a great idea to walk the courses! Sadly we don’t have any nearby only very crowded parks especially at the weekend!

Nice color and dof. Some days I feel really selfish to be able to hike all the beach and forest trails when other’s lockdowns seem so depressing

Really nice, love it. I have the same sentiment as Jane. Tiny silver lining you get to explore golf courses without having to whack a little white ball.

@jgpittenger @yoland restrictions on travel are a bit hard but luckily Leeds has a lot of green space so it could be a lot worse. Hard to believe that a large part of it is only usually enjoyed by a few people whacking a little white ball...

@yoland @yoland Also don't feel bad - you being kept in wouldn't make anything better for us! Enjoy.

@fueast thanks Alison, these are definitely strange times. We don’t have nearly the restrictions. I have many relatives in the UK that are feeling the pressures of the lockdown. Restrictions here are stay local, for me it’s this beautiful Island that I’m so appreciative for, we aren’t allowed to socialize, just walks with 2 people.
