Californian Lilac

Most of our blossom came and is now gone - so ephemeral! Now it is the turn of the lilacs with the lilac bush in our neighbour's garden nicely out and what we know as Californian Lilac out on our fence.

Beautiful shrub. I've never heard that name, I've only ever known it as ceanothus.
