Little Walsingham, Norfolk

A place of contradictions! This is a delightful Norfolk village a few miles south of the north Norfolk coast. It is filled with lots of old Norfolk cottages often with flint rendering, so typical of this part of England. And yet this is a focus of pilgrimages and there are several shrines. If you want kitsch this is the place with several shops touting "religious tat" probably made in China and making someone huge profits. Despite these, it still has a sleepy Norfolk village feel.
