Otherwise known as Spring Close Meadow, there were cows in this 11 acre meadow until about 25 years ago in summer time: we could hear them from our old house. There are Roman remains here and the remains of an ancient castle dating from the time of King Stephen. It is a natural meadow owned by the council, so locals can enjoy it for ever.
