My Father's Home

100 years ago my dad lived in one of these cottages off Island Street in Salcombe, Devon. These days these are probably yuppie pads, second homes occupied just a few weeks each year. Where I lived in Salcombe (a modest terraced house) sold in 1959 for £1.9k. It is now on the market for £625k!! Salcombe has changed.
What pretty little cottages. One of them must have been your grandparents home then. Did you ever visit or did they only live there when your Dad was very small?

@susiemc - no, my granddad died in 1942 and my grandma moved before I was born. So, I never went in to this place.
