Salmon-Trout?

Today was my wife's birthday and one of son's bought up a salmon-trout (I think this is what it is called) to cook. It was HUGE. It tasted very good though.

A great shot of a very fine fish. Chris is puzzled . Says he’s never heard of a salmon-trout. Does it have another name?
