Where we live is where the chalk uplands meet the Fens. To some the Fens are flat and boring yet we have some great walks and great skies. The photo shows where Burwell and Reach Lodes meet. These are very old waterways that carried important trade thousands of years ago.
@tinley23 - it is wild. Lots of birds including marsh harriers and, in the season, cuckoos who put eggs in reed warbler nests along the Lode. Cuckoos sit on the wires above.
