Discarded or displayed?

Whichever is the case, I really should have removed that grey plastic lid from the barrel. Still, I was quite pleased with it considering the intensely bright sunshine which I thought might spoil the shot.

The lid doesn't really stand out. I did not notice it until you mentioned it. Great shot.
