In the dark.
Today we had to move two garden storage sheds in preparation for work on our fence. Lurking beneath, amongst other slimy creatures in the dark, were two leopard slugs which quickly (for them) slid away to find new gloom.

Unusual markings. We don't have slugs or snails in our garden, the blue tongue lizards and kookaburras eat them.
