We returned to the hamlet of East Dean where there is this picturesque church. Not only is it quaint but active and alive, serving its community, and when the churches emerged from Lockdown last year they held an open air service for the village.
I have been wracking my brains as to why East Dean seems so familiar, and now I remember, spent a couple of fabulous nights at the Tiger Inn with my two grown boys - one with girlfriend. Arrived to find it was the Gin Festival. Fond memories of those free and easy days. Lovely church.
