Hummingbird Hawk-Moth by gaf005

Hummingbird Hawk-Moth

Amidst the butterflies on the Buddleia one of our church photo group spotted this intriguing insect sucking up the nectar with its long proboscis while hovering in the air. For those who like technicalities: 1/1000th second, f/6.3, ISO 500, at 200mm on my Canon 77D.
Fantastic shot of this unusual insect!
