Brayshaw's Hut by galactica

Brayshaw's Hut

This settlers hut still stands proud despite being well over a century old. It sits in the Namadgi
National Park in the Australian Capital Territory. In the 80's some restoration was done to bring it back to life. I can't imagine living in something like this. The walls inside were lined with newspaper to keep the draft out; the remnants of such are still evident today apparently. Tough times back in the day.
Great capture of these lovely textures. It certainly is a very unusual looking home which does not appear to have any windows. It sure was built in a lovely area lovely trees and pretty blue flowers.

@ludwigsdiana Thanks Diana. It is a beautiful spot but still very isolated. Would have been a tough life 100 years ago.
