Sheltering. by gamelee

Sheltering.

Set off for a walk over the moors at Tockholes, Lancashire. The weather was lovely, blue sky and white clouds, but bitterly cold, add the wind chill and it must have been in the minus. Then, the snow started to fall, it was blizzard like. These two were sheltering behind an old shed in the field they were in.
this is an amazing photo

Wonderful shot Lee. Love the flakes of snow on the faces and lovely detail on the mane. Love it. Fav!

Amazing capture, love love the detail in the donkey fur - the texture looks fantastic. You must have been out for a while?!

Amazing capture. It is a good job their coats are so thick. The donkey on the left looks as though it is trying to protect the other one with its ear! So sweet.

Thank you for your comments I do appreciate them. Gill - I walked about five miles, not much I know, but it felt further with the weather as it was. Babs - Both there heads were down, but when they heard me they lifted them and this one popped up his ear for a better listen.

This makes a great shot, but I feel sorry for the donkeys (and you!) out in the blizzard!
