Rivington Pike is a hill summit on Winter Hill, part of the West Pennine Moors, overlooking the village of Rivington in Lancashire. It is 361m (1200 feet) above sea level and can be seen from miles around.
Oh, and it was very cold up there today.
Great composition , love the flame area from the rays of the sun ! the threatening sky over the sea, the lone stone structure in the foreground Yes it does look cold there Lee
Beautiful shot, love the sun rays and the sky looks very menacing. Is Winter Hill where there is a television transmitter? If it is I remember going up there once when I was a child. We used to go over the Pennine Moors from Manchester to my Nanna's in Yorkshire.
