The Fire Brigade Society visited Bolton fire station today to take photos of the appliances. Formed in Manchester in 1963, this year is their 50th anniversary. Here is a line up of the fire appliances stationed at Bolton Fire Station.
Beautiful shot. Love the processing. It brought to mind a children's programme which my kids used to watch when they were little - Trumpton. They had firemen on it called Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grubb. They could have a fire engine each in this shot.
In my first year of 365, I'd take pics of any firetruck I saw. I drive across two counties to get to work, and see alot of firetrucks from different stations. It became a game. Then others started shooting fire trucks in their towns, and tagging me in those. It was funny. Then I had to break the addiction! This was cool to see all the vintage fire trucks here!
