Garage Spider.

This spider was just hanging there in my garage. I've never been scared of spiders, but after being bitten three times by one recently and being ill for four days after the bite. I now handle them with gloves on.

Fantastic close up. I wouldn't have thought that English spiders would make you ill. Good job I never knew that when I lived there. We are much more careful with Australian spdiers though!!

Great shot! I worked in a zoo many years ago and at 3pm each day I used to do the tarantula handling display with no mishaps. I did however get quite painfully bitten by a house spider that I was rescuing from our dog's water bowl a few years ago.

Fabulous macro Lee, I understand there are redback spiders in the UK now, which can make you ill or in young, sick and elderly people death can occur.
