The Range. by gamelee

The Range.

Inside the derelict house is the cooking range.
Aah ! - I spoke too soon ! --wonderful-- the cooking range of an open fire with the oven by its side built in cupboards in the alcove by the chimney breast !!! The plastering or rendering peeling off exposing the brick walls -- the old metal window frames and so much wood littering the floor !! It is amazing how soon nature takes over --as I see some evergreen saplings growing in front of the window ! Why are we always SO interested in old and derelict buildings ?

Fabulous, I knew this would be a great place to explore. My Nanna had a kitchen range, it was in better shape than this one though. fav

Fantastic shot and processing! To think at one time this was probably someone's dream home, kinda sad.

My grandma cooked on one of these! Fab shot of nature taking over as Beryl described. Yes derelict houses are sooo fascinating to shoot.
