Wonderful shot, Lee. I know this place really well, I have been going down there since I was a very small child. My Grandfather who retired out to nearby Bull Bay in the late sixties, built a little caravan in about 1948 and put it in the farmers field at the top of the steep hill. The family has been going down there ever since. My parents live a couple of miles away from here, and my friends own the house just behind you as you took this shot.
As kids we had a wonderful time down here, swimming, canoeing, boating and fishing. It's a very safe bay as long as you stay away from the rip tide in front of the lighthouse. One day, two of us were out in a little boat, underneath the lighthouse, tied up to a lobster pot buoy, quite safe and busy catching mackerel, when a big yellow Air Sea Rescue helicopter, spotted us and came over to make sure we were okay. They came down really low and we were almost able to shout to the airman at the doorway, that everything was fine.
Our only problem was their down draught nearly sank us.

@markp Sounds like you've had some fun times there, great memories from your childhood. I had the intention of going to Bull Bay and Parys Mountain, but the weather turned so i'll have to go there another day. Thank you Mark.
I would much rather be standing here gazing out at this beautiful inlet than being where I live next week. They are calling for 8-12 inches of snow coming in.
I love the colours and textures of the rocks! FAV!
