Morning Tea by gardencat

Morning Tea

Another attempt. Took the shot with my Lensbaby and double glass optic, for that dreamlike effect. Added some textures.
I love this kind of art! I also have a Lensbaby and I find it opens up a whole new world. Don't you just love it?

@april341 I do love it. I find I use it in patches. It requires a different mind set with the manual focus and physically changed aperture rings but it some ways it is kind of freeing to shot in a more intuitive way.
I also have the plastic optic and the pinhole one but mostly still use the double glass.
Have you checked out the forums at the lens baby site? Lots of nice shots there.

Will have take a look at that because I really need to use mine more. I have the double glass optic and the pinhole/zone plate and the soft optic and yes, I use the double glass the most, too.

Your processing makes this look like a painting!

@skipt07 In a way I guess it is a bit like a painting. The photo of the tea cup is the basis, kind of like a sketch, and then to it, I add textures or maybe a faint bit of another photo I have taken, and build it up layer by layer, sort of like you might an acrylic painting, except I use photos instead of paint, and Photoshop instead of a brush. I'm just starting to get into this but I am enjoying it so far. Still so much to learn !
