Late post today, after a slight emergency requiring a vet visit with one of the cats .
We seem to have a blue heron who has set up housekeeping at the local pond. I've only ever seen the one here, and he makes a nice change from the multitudes of geese and ducks we usually see. He is also a great deal more wary of humans and thus harder to get a decent picture of.
