Late last night I looked up and noticed an interesting crescent moon surrounded by clouds with a tiny star below it and thought it might make an interesting picture. In post processing, I cranked up the shadows to reveal the clouds and dialed back the highlights, to try not to completely blow out the moon but this result surprised me. I'm not really sure where that extra purple moon came from.
@softbootsailer Could be a planet...not sure which. I think Jupiter was above the moon at that point and this was not I don't think bright enough to be Jupiter, more the brightness of Saturn but I think Saturn is in the eastern sky at that time of night.
