This is true! But I will share what happened to me and make this a good thing! A few weeks ago I noticed little bits of paper on the floor on the passenger side of my car. As soon as I saw it I knew, "Oh oh!" A mouse had gotten into my car and made its way into my glove box. It had chewed on some napkins I had put in there. I tore out the glove box and cabin filter and used my shop vac to vacuum out the shredded paper and insulation the mouse had gathered for a nest. I thought I had gotten it all cleaned out. A week later I got into my car, we have been using my wife's car mostly, and got a whiff of decomp. Evidently I hadn't managed to get rid of the varment. It took the glove box, the heater fan and as much as i could again to try and vacuum out what I had missed before. No luck. I took the car into the dealership to have them try. They couldn't find the body. I bought some Febreze for upholstery and the car is finally losing that terrible odor. Yesterday I got in and saw the windshield covered with 7-10 bottle flies. Not good. I shooed them out the side windows as I drove. I hope that the females didn't lay any more eggs. A female bottle fly can lay in excess of 2,000 eggs in a lifetime. So, be glad you cat caught the mouse before the mouse got into someplace you wish it hadn't!
