I have been spending more time lately trying to upgrade my processing skills so I'm posting a lot of older photos that I never got around to editing and posting in the past. These are some tiny orchids which I shot on a past trip to Florida.
Spectacular image! Beautiful light...lovely dof...and gorgeous flowers...FAV! Would you be kind enough to share how you processed this image? I am so new to post-processing, and I'm trying to learn. I would appreciate any information you can provide.
@janetb I'll do my best ,but I am very bad at keeping track of exactly what I've done. :( I tend to mess around trying a bunch of different things till I find what I like. I do know that I used 'Perfect Effects' a software by OnOne Software, the newest version is called OnOne 10.
Originally, it was a landscape shot, so I cropped it down getting rid of a lot of green leaves on either side. Then I did some sharpening and added a vignette to darken down the outer edges and focus attention on the flowers. One thing I like about the Perfect Effects is that it has some presets that you can try in one step to see how they work out and then just reverse if you don't like the effect.
@gardencat Thank you so much for the helpful information! I appreciate you taking the time to respond to my question. I've never done much post-processing, so my goal is to learn more about it this year.
