Milkweed Pod

While in my garden looking for signs of spring, to photograph, I came across this dried and splitting seed pod, more a reminder of falls past than a sign of imminent spring but the seeds do make it a promise for the future too.

I've taken lots of pictures of milkweed pods and then delete them because the details don't stand out like this... great job!
