The peonies have started blooming... my favourite time of year in the garden. These are two of the smaller blooms on a Rockii tree peony. This variety has medium sized flowers and a gentle powdery perfume.
@tonygig Thanks Tony. This is my earliest blooming peony and it's a tree peony which tend to bloom earlier than the herbaceous ones. Odd though, your hosta from yesterday's shot is way more advanced than mine which are just starting to open leaves.
