So Much for the View by gardencat

So Much for the View

Last year in late October I posted a couple of pictures from this creek. This year I thought it would be fun to go a few times over the next few weeks and take a photo of the same view to show how the leaf colours progress through the season . When I got there, this morning, I found all sorts of fences and "do not enter" signs and, when I finally made it to the bridge from which I had taken last year's shot, I found this, a big construction beam blocking the view of the creek. Going to have to rethink this.
Here'e a shot from last year. https://365project.org/gardencat/365/2020-10-28
Wow, total bummer! Sorry for my abysmal English but some days, sounding like a silly teenager fits.

That's a shame, but you did manage to capture some of the turning leaves in the background.

And they call this progress?

@stevejacob Yes. More and more people moving into the area, more homes, more traffic and so a new additional overpass to the creek to ease congestion on the one that exists now. I don’t like it but they didn’t ask me and, if they had I wouldn’t have had much solution except to tell people not to come. I guess, if looking for a positive, our house values have increased a lot due to demand, which may be good if you wanted to move but not so much if you want to stay put.
