All the shopping carts at the supermarkets near me have locks on the wheel that activate if you try to leave the parking lot so there are no abandoned ones to photograph
@cdcook48 Some of the stores here have that too, or at least they have signs up that say they do, but I guess not all have or else some people have found a way to circumvent that.
I think this cart was probably pushed into this position by a snow plow. You may not be able to tell from this photo but it is actually several feet up on a snow bank. I had to climb up in the snow, a bit, to take the picture.
