The first time I've got a shot of the young cardinal by him(her?) self. Today was also the first time I've seen them eating by themselves. Mom was nearby but she was just keeping watch not actually placing the food in its mouth.
Sorry about the less than attractive background but that is where it chose to perch, for today, at least.
