So I've got to admit that this week's for2023 theme has me struggling. I mean almost anything I photograph is something I've 'found' so it seems pretty wide open. But then I did some reading on Found Object Art and discovered that most of the examples I saw were sculptural, rather than flat art, and seemed to consist of combining different objects that already had some sort of identity as a 'thing' or something readymade. But how can I combine in that way in a photo? So here is my answer. I've taken a few things, photographed them separately, isolated them from the background, and layered them into an image. Then, I've added a couple of things that I didn't photograph but that came 'readymade' for sale on the internet. I'm not at all sure the result is worth the effort but it was a learning experience so there is always that.
Quite the process! (and well beyond my skill set) You've created an intriguing composition. That receipt, in particular, has me wondering about the background story.
Well captured & edited ( sounded a bit beyond my capabilities). This works well, I think, I too was struggling with the concept. I much prefer a more of a direct instruction, to as you say, a “ wide open” one. Now we just have to repeat 6 more times 😜
(I’m absolutely struggling with the them but I’ll give it my best shot)
