Climbing Hydrangea by gardencat

Climbing Hydrangea

This beautiful hydrangea climbs on the fence at the back of my yard and gets more gorgeous every year. The thing that makes it even more glorious to me is that it isn't even my plant. My neighbour planted it several years ago and then decided to erect a big and rather ugly trampoline only a few feet in front of it. The neighbour had young children who enjoyed the trampoline so I can't begrudge it to them, but I was not a big fan. In the intervening years this plant has grown through and over the fence and now seems to have about 80% of its flowers on my side of the fence and does a good job of hiding the trampoline too. All of that beauty as an unplanned gift from my neighbour. Pretty on black, if you have time.

So beautiful - I love the pure white flowers and interesting spiky little bits. Isn't nature wonderful coming to your rescue like this, with the flowers to your side and obliterating the sight of the trampoline! fav

This sounds like a win win situation. You have been gifted a beautiful plant which also hides an ugly trampoline. Fav.
