The most iconic photo of this plantation is the one looking down the alley, made by the line of live oak trees, with the Big House at the end. This shot is the reverse of that, looking out from the big house verandah, and down to the road. The apparel of the people in it show why I chose this POV rather than standing at the far end, in the rain, with my non-weather sealed camera .
