Lovely macro Joanne. Don't know if you had left the White Balance on Auto, but if it's a sunny day it is worth switching the setting to sunny. It seems to make a better image, but don't forget to reset it after use.
@markp When I started I had the setting on AWB and I got an even more blue image. I changed it to 'shady' because that was the condition at the time, and it gave me a kind of candy pink tone. The picture above represents me pulling the candy pink hue back, in processing, to give what I think is a fairly accurate representation of how it looks in real life, a cool, purple-toned, pink. Funny thing is, before I purchased this plant a few years ago I remember that the pictures posted of it on different sites varied widely in colour, from a very blue-purple tone to a warmer pink one, which is what made me think that maybe there is something about this particular shade that causes problems for the colour balance. Not even sure if that is possible or not but the AWB on this camera mostly seems to work quite well and this was so off that it did make me wonder.
