Tourtiere by gardencat

Tourtiere

Tourtiere is a French Canadian meat pie that is traditionally served on Christmas Eve. When we lived in Quebec, I used to buy one prepared and just heat it up but, since we moved to Ontario it's difficult to find them available so I've had to stop being so lazy and make this one myself.
It looks so delicious!

Looks wonderful - what is the meat in the filling?

@quietpurplehaze It's a combo of beef and pork. Since I hadn't made tihs from scratch before, I researched a few recipes. This one called for half pork, half beef, and mashed potatoes as a binder.
Another one called for all pork meat but added beef stock and bread crumbs as a binder.
