People say it can’t be true
That the spirit lives here too
But you’ll find Christmas everywhere
Under palm trees, sun and moon.

As I was driving back from the post office, I made a U-turn to take a few photos of a big Victorian home. It had several palm trees in the front yard decorated with large ornaments. They were ready for the holidays by the first of December. You never know what surprise you are going to see in California. :)
@lyndamcg It was a Christmas bokeh choice on Photo Lab, a phone editing app I found, where I also found the museum choice for my Katniss. :) Thank you for you kind comments and support! Enjoy!
Nice ornaments; this is a quite festive scene! I especially like your bokeh.
When we lived in Florida, my husband and I had to get rather creative at Christmas ...The weather was warm, and there weren't any traditional Christmas trees growing nearby.
@dsp2 I can see where that would be tough. I do notice the seasons more in Northern CA, than when I lived in Southern CA. I lived a mile from the ocean. I love the beach so I do have ornaments for a beach/sea life tree with mermaids, sea creatures and seashells. I didn't bring that out this year though. With 3 young active grand boys and Katniss, I decided trying one tree was enough! :)
@joemuli@deborah63@bokehdot@gamelee Thank you all for stopping by and leaving such nice comments and favs. I know what a busy time of year this can be! Happy Christmas!
hey, that is just great.

i was going to tell you that if you do go to NFL you would really enjoy taking a few days to go see Saint Pierre - Miquelon. It is a boat ride - maybe a couple of hours and half way through the ride they take down the Canadian flag and put up the France flag. It is just like being in France. The french is like France French and not like Quebec. A lot of the streets are cobble stone and you can buy baguettes and carry them under your arm down the street. My daughter and I went and it was really a great place to visit. I still have a picture in my mind ( I was on a van with other people and so we did not get to stop and get out for photos). It was by the coast and a quaint house with a clothesline full of beautiful handmade quilts waving in the breeze. So so pretty.
@gq Thank you! That sounds fantastic! I will remember this. I also have to say that I did love Old Montreal and Old Quebec with the cobblestone streets, the Crème Brulee, the old churches and of course, The Chateau Frontenac is right up their with its sister hotel, The Empress. Banff Hotel is fab too! If California gets any more crowded, I may have to move to Canada, since all of Canada has the same population as the state of California! :)
@hrs Thank you, Helen. We are A-OK where we live but the fires in Santa Rosa and Napa were devastating and now the fires in Ventura, Santa Barbara and Ojai are still raging. So, tragic, sad and scary for so many people. California has fires and earthquakes...but great weather, the length of the state in coastlines, mountains, the sierras, lakes, etc. I have lived in both Northern and Southern California...born here too.
@ellida Thank you Graham. I love palm trees too but a dusting of snow would be nice. We do not get snow. But, 90 minutes away, I could be in Lake Tahoe to visit the snow! :)
