Look at animals kindly
and they will see.
Talk to animals gently
and they will listen.

This is Mr. Grey. I named him after Christian Grey in the book, Fifty Shades of Grey. He is the friendliest grey squirrel so far and I can identify him because he has a sore on his right ear. I have been feeding both grey and brown squirrels...they get in turf wars every so often but there is enough food for all of them. I think he is eating a pecan.
He is so cute. We feed a family of ringtail possums and a family of brush tail possums in our garden. Food is limited during winter and they visit most days.

Thank you so much! The squirrels have been so much fun to watch. The top of our fence is level so it’s like a squirrel super highway, plus the birds will also stop and feed. The blue jays fly off with the peanuts in the shell...there is always something to see going on! :)
Look at You!!! What a magnificent success! I can tell you've been so patient, and what a wonderful opportunity for a close up! I'm just delighted for you! Enjoy enjoy!
@Weezilou Thank you, Louise. I am getting a bit better as I get closer, which helps! Feeding the squirrels and birds is such fun! The yard is more active...but not as busy as yours...ducks, hummingbirds, squirrels, etc! :) PS...did you see Katniss on the TT? My sweet girl...
@gardenfolk Hey Cathee!!! Congratulations! It's a nice honor, isn't it...your photos have been wonderful and any accolades are well deserved! You'll be a Disney Princess (too) any day now! You clearly are getting a lot of pleasure out of it and patience to go along!
Many thanks! Mr. Grey is delightful. Sophie forages for any food that is dropped on the ground. Katniss lays low in the grass and watches them on the fence. Both animals enjoy all the extra activity in the yard. @quietpurplehaze @365anne @farmreporter @gilbertwood @louannwarren @elkereturns @hermann @kchuk @ezzzmaay
