Sons may grow into men
and grow out of their toys
but in the hearts of mothers
they are still their little boys.

Happy Birthday to my 35 year old baby boy. Where does the time go?
This was taken by me when he was 4 months old in 1984. An only child (not by choice). A talker at 9 months. Detail oriented. A high IQ. An old soul. By the book.
He knew he wanted to go into law enforcement from the time he was a child. His grandfather was a retired LAPD police officer. My son would write down expired license registrations and the license plates of cars that did not make a complete stop at stop signs, when he was in the 8th & 9th grade. He has been a Deputy Sheriff for 12 years now...following his purpose and calling.
Thank you to those who commented on yesterdays post regarding his fallen colleague and deputy sheriff.
A big happy birthday to your handsome son. He is following a difficult and sometimes career from what I see and hear in the news media - wishing him success.
@taffy Thank you Taffy! It was an old Kodak color print that I just changed to B&W for the post. I don't do many people or portrait photos but I do like them better in B&W.
