The word "casino" in Italian means gathering place. This is a photo of the Catalina Casino built in 1929. It is located in the town of Avalon on Santa Catalina Island. I am looking forward to my next visit in May. I love Catalina. It is so simple and charming, like going back to a different time.

It is so interesting to see all the different ways people on 365 are getting the right colour into their rainbow shots. this overlay makes it look like it is some kind of time warp that can transport you into that place. Maybe you will get there before May! Wonderful blue water. I'm drawn in.
