Can words describe
the fragrance of
the very breath
of Spring?
...Neltje Blanchan
It certainly has been March madness on my magnolia tree. It has been prolific and beautiful. I will share photos over the next few months...and pink Sunday. Nice on Black.
It has been a very busy weekend. I will try to catch up tomorrow.
I could, but I found that I learned more if I made myself take a shot every day, or near enough, because I get better at managing light and challenging conditions or setting up shots when other things aren't possible. There's another later tree still coming out now, it might still be in bloom next week
@louannwarren Thanks, LouAnn. No O'Keeffe processing either. :)
@jacqbb Thank you so much! The petals are falling now. :)
@yogiw Maybe in closeup but I added no processing to the photo. :)
@ziggy77 Thank you, Jo. I appreciate the comment. :)
@mittens Many thanks, Marilyn. I do love these blooms. :)
@haskar Thank you. I enjoy this tree with its short life of flowers. It is already starting to leaf out too. :)
@shannejw Thank you, Shanne...you can still take photos of the magnolia trees and "bank" the photos for a day when you have nothing to photograph! I have taken almost 400 photos of my tree and plan on posting several of them over spring and summer (or whenever I need a pop of pink/purple. Yesterday, we drove up to the mountains/ the sierras and I took several photos of all the snow. I cannot use those this month either. :)
there are two magnolia trees nearby, sadly my rainbow month has meant I haven't been taking pictures of them as I would usually
@joysabin I love all the blooms in the month of March.
@spanishliz Many thanks, Liz. :)
@edorreandresen It is a very healthy tree with lots of blooms. :)
@koalagardens I am very happy with this blooming tree but a little worried about the saucer magnolia with very little blooms.
@seattlite Many thanks, Gloria! The wind and rain has taken its toll.
@ludwigsdiana About 400 more photos of this tree...Haha! I could do this tree for a year in photos. :)
@beryl Thank you, Beryl. I love it too. :)
